Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our Site, we automatically collect limited technical information including IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring website, pages visited, time spent on pages, and timestamps. This information is collected via cookies and similar technologies and is used to operate, secure, and improve the Site.
Information from Third Parties
With your authorization, we may receive information about you from insurance carriers (for example, quote results, underwriting decisions, or existing policy details) and from third-party verification services (such as MIB, Rx databases, or motor vehicle records) as part of the underwriting process for insurance you are applying for.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Respond to your inquiry — to provide the quote, consultation, policy review, or other service you have requested
- Shop the market on your behalf — to share relevant underwriting information with A-rated insurance carriers to generate quotes and, if you choose to apply, to submit applications
- Communicate with you — by email, phone, and (with your consent) SMS or AI-assisted automated methods regarding your inquiry, your policy, appointment reminders, and related services
- Service your policy — if you become a client, to provide ongoing advisory support, annual reviews, beneficiary updates, and related services
- Comply with legal obligations — including state insurance regulations, producer licensing and record-keeping requirements, anti-money-laundering (AML) rules, and tax reporting
- Protect our rights and operations — including fraud prevention, security, and enforcement of our Terms of Service
- Improve our services — in aggregate and de-identified form, to understand how our Site and services are used
3. AI and Automated Technology
We use technology — including software that may incorporate artificial intelligence, machine learning, or other automated processes — to help us operate our business, respond to your inquiries, schedule consultations, and service your policy.
When AI may be used
Specifically, with your consent, we may use AI-assisted or automated technology to:
- Draft or send text messages (SMS/MMS) to you about your inquiry, appointment reminders, and policy-related updates
- Generate or deliver voice communications, including prerecorded or AI-generated voices, for informational or marketing purposes
- Route and triage inbound communications (emails, texts, calls) to ensure timely response
- Summarize or transcribe calls for our records (calls may be recorded with notice)
- Suggest quotes, products, or educational content that may be relevant to your situation
Human oversight
Chris Ihler, the licensed insurance producer serving you, personally reviews material recommendations before they are presented to you. AI-assisted communications are designed to supplement — not replace — the human advisory relationship. When you reply to an AI-assisted message, your response is reviewed by a human or routed to one as appropriate.
Disclosure
When we contact you using AI-generated voices or automated voice technology, we will identify ourselves and the automated nature of the call at the outset, consistent with applicable Federal Communications Commission ("FCC") rules and state law. You may opt out of AI-assisted communications at any time by replying STOP to any SMS, telling us during a call, or contacting us directly.
4. SMS / Text Messaging
SMS Terms Summary: By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent box on our form, you agree to receive text messages from Trust Life Solutions related to your insurance inquiry and ongoing services, which may include messages that are AI-assisted or automated. Message frequency varies (typically 2–10 per month). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
What messages you may receive
If you opt in to SMS communications by checking the SMS consent box on our form, you may receive text messages from Trust Life Solutions including:
- Confirmation that we received your inquiry
- Follow-up regarding your requested quote or consultation
- Appointment reminders and scheduling
- Requests for additional information needed for underwriting
- Policy-related updates (if you become a client)
- Occasional check-ins regarding coverage reviews and renewals
AI-assisted messages
Some messages may be drafted, scheduled, or sent using AI-assisted or automated technology. By opting in to SMS, you consent to receive messages that may include AI-generated content. All messages remain under the supervision of Chris Ihler, a licensed human insurance advisor.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your engagement and stage in the advisory process. You may receive from approximately 2 to 10 messages per month. We do not send mass marketing blasts.
Message and data rates
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Trust Life Solutions does not charge for sending SMS messages.
Opting out
You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, or CANCEL to any message you receive from us. You will receive one final confirmation message, after which you will not receive further SMS communications from us. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us at chris@trustlifesolutions.com.
SMS consent and third-party sharing
We do not share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent information with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your SMS opt-in is used solely to communicate with you regarding your relationship with Trust Life Solutions. If you submit an application for insurance and we must share your phone number with a carrier to process that application, that sharing is for the sole purpose of completing the transaction you have requested.
Supported carriers
SMS services are supported by all major U.S. wireless carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Phone Calls and Automated Dialing
If you provide your phone number and authorize us to call you, we may contact you by telephone to follow up on your inquiry, schedule consultations, discuss your needs, present quotes, and service your policy.
Standard calls
All prospects and clients authorizing contact by phone consent to calls placed manually or with basic dialing technology by Chris Ihler or an authorized representative of Trust Life Solutions.
Automated and AI voice calls
If you separately and optionally authorize automated or AI voice calls by checking the corresponding consent box on our form, we may contact you with calls that use prerecorded messages, AI-generated voices, automated telephone dialing systems, or similar automated technology — even if your number is on a state or federal Do Not Call list. This consent is required under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA") and FCC rules (including the February 2024 declaratory ruling addressing AI-generated voices).
Call recording
Calls to or from Trust Life Solutions may be recorded for quality assurance, compliance documentation, training, and accuracy of the advisory record. We will inform you at the beginning of any recorded call. If you do not wish to be recorded, please inform us and we will discontinue recording or end the call.
Revoking call consent
You may withdraw consent for any type of call at any time by:
- Telling us during a call
- Emailing chris@trustlifesolutions.com
- Writing to the address below
- Replying STOP to any text message (which also generally indicates a broad revocation)
We will honor revocations promptly and in no more than 10 business days (often immediately).
6. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only as described below:
With insurance carriers
When you request a quote or apply for coverage, we share the information necessary to generate a quote or complete an application with A-rated insurance carriers you are considering. Each carrier is subject to its own privacy policy.
With service providers ("processors")
We use third-party service providers to operate our business, including email and SMS delivery platforms, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, scheduling tools, document signing platforms, phone/voice platforms, AI platforms (for drafting and automation), and website analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information, use it only to perform services for us, and maintain appropriate security and confidentiality.
For legal and regulatory reasons
We may disclose information as required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Trust Life Solutions, our clients, or the public.
With your direction
We may share information at your direction — for example, with a family member, accountant, attorney, or financial advisor you identify.
In connection with a business transaction
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to confidentiality commitments.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money.
- We do not rent or lease your information to third parties.
- We do not share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in status, or related consent information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
- We do not use your sensitive health information for any purpose other than obtaining quotes, underwriting coverage, and servicing the policy you have requested.
7. GLBA Privacy Notice
As a licensed insurance producer, Trust Life Solutions is considered a "financial institution" under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ("GLBA"). This section serves as our GLBA Notice of Privacy Practices.
Nonpublic personal information we collect
We collect nonpublic personal information ("NPI") about you from:
- Information you provide directly (e.g., on our forms, during calls, or on applications)
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others (e.g., insurance carriers with whom you have policies)
- Information from consumer reporting agencies, third-party verification services, and other authorized third parties
How we use and share NPI
We share NPI about current and former customers only as permitted by law. Specifically, we may share NPI:
- To process the transactions you have requested (e.g., with insurance carriers underwriting your coverage)
- With our authorized service providers who help us operate our business
- As required or permitted by law
- With your consent or at your direction
What we do not do
We do not disclose NPI to nonaffiliated third parties for their marketing purposes. Because we do not engage in this type of sharing, there is no GLBA "opt out" election you need to make.
Our safeguards
We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable federal and state regulations (including GLBA Safeguards Rule requirements) to protect your NPI. These include encrypted storage, restricted access to systems, secure transmission, and ongoing staff training.
8. Health Information
When you share health, medical, prescription, or lifestyle information with us (for example, to obtain insurance quotes), we treat that information as sensitive and confidential.
How we handle health information
- We collect only the health information reasonably necessary to help you obtain insurance coverage
- We use it exclusively for insurance quoting, underwriting, application submission, and servicing the coverage you requested
- We share it only with the carriers you ask us to shop, with service providers bound to confidentiality, and as required by law
- We do not use health information for marketing, lead-sale, or advertising targeting
- We do not engage in geofencing around healthcare facilities
Applicable laws
Insurance agent handling of health information for underwriting purposes is governed primarily by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, state insurance privacy regulations (including the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner rules under RCW 48.02 and 48.43), and (where applicable) the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Washington residents — My Health My Data Act
The Washington My Health My Data Act ("MHMDA") exempts consumer health data governed by GLBA and Washington state insurance privacy rules. Insurance-related health information collected, used, or disclosed by Trust Life Solutions in its capacity as a licensed insurance producer for underwriting purposes falls within these exemptions. For any other consumer health data we may process outside of insurance activities (for example, health-related information submitted outside the context of a quote or application), please see our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
9. Cookies and Tracking
Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to enable site functionality, analyze performance, and understand how visitors interact with our Site. We use the following categories:
- Essential cookies: required for the Site to function (e.g., security, form submission)
- Analytics cookies: help us understand Site traffic and performance (aggregated, de-identified)
We do not use cookies or similar technologies to sell your information for third-party advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.
10. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. These include:
- Transport-layer encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for information in transit
- Encrypted storage for information at rest in our systems and approved service providers
- Role-based access controls limiting who can view your information
- Multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts
- Vendor due diligence and written confidentiality agreements with service providers
- Ongoing security monitoring and breach response planning
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We will notify you of any security breach involving your personal information as required by applicable law.
11. Data Retention
We retain your information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including for as long as you are a prospect or client, plus additional periods required by law.
| Category | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Prospect inquiries (no policy issued) | Up to 5 years from last interaction, then deleted or anonymized |
| Client policy and advisory records | Life of the policy, plus 7 years after termination (aligned with state insurance record-keeping rules) |
| Consent records (TCPA / SMS / AI) | Minimum 5 years after the last communication, consistent with TCPA statute of limitations |
| Financial transaction records | 7 years from transaction date |
| Website analytics (aggregated) | Up to 26 months |
After the retention period, we delete, anonymize, or securely archive the information unless a longer retention is required by law.
12. Your Rights and Choices
Regardless of where you live, you have the following rights with respect to the information we hold about you:
- Access and correction: You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected, subject to legal and record-keeping obligations applicable to licensed insurance producers.

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, delete, correct, limit use of sensitive personal information, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. Email privacy@trustlifesolutions.com to exercise any right.

If you request to be added to our internal do-not-call list, we will honor that request and maintain the request for no less than 5 years.
